Hi i was wondering i have a friend who has a 2011 RX450h and he has the LExus enform with desitination assist on his navigation system.

My Father has the 2012 RX350 with navigation but does not have the Destination assist option in his car.

I was reading somewhere that Destination Assist with Lexus Enform was only available in the U.S not in Canada so i am wondering if the reason why he doesnt have destination assist option on his 2012 RX is because the car is orignaly from up in canada he is in Florida.

Or was Lexus Enform with Destination assist only available on the hybrid model ?

i am thinking about purchasing a RX for myself this coming spring and am looking to stay around the 2010 - 2012 model years for cost reasons
but i would like to have the destination assist with the Lexus Enform.
So i am wondering what your did this come standard with the vehicle with nav options ?
and if the reason my dad doesnt have it is because his car was from Canada perhaps

 

Nav. directs you where and how to reach your destination. I wonder what's destination assistance. Enform is paid service.
Also from now and then you'll need to pay for Nav. map update. I never bother with build-in Nav. I have Garmin unit with
life time free update. If I head out to a place I have never been or unfamiliar I just take the Garmin unit plugged in to USB port
for power.

 

destination assist is a option that lexus has in some of there 2011 and newer models
where you can connec to a live person and you ask them to find a location for you are help with something they then send it directly to your onboard computer for you its a good option for people who drive alot and dont want to have to stop to find an address of a location.
or stop to enter the location
you just ask someone for what you want and then they send it to your navigation unit.
i dont like garmin my father has used those for like 10 years and every 2 years his busts and has to put out another 200 for a new one every 2 years they are worthless in my opinion those portable units suck.

 

Our 2010 has Destination Assist button a few spaces to the right of where you click to enter an address.
