Default Lexus Badge on 2012?

The rear door of my 2012 RX doesn't have the Lexus Badge on the lower left hand corner. Is this normal?

Thanks

Yes, that's normal. In the North American market, the 2010 RX had the badge. 2011 and 2012 models do not.

Same reason you have options we don't have I guess. No good rhyme or reason. At least the badge can be added. But it'll prematurely age it two years

Logo is enough, Lexus is well known nowadays.

it's redundant, i'm glad they took it off.
BMWs and Mercedes Benz don't have it spelled out at the back.
Logo is enough.

^^ +1. With the millions of Lexus on US roads, if people here don't know what the logo is by now, well, so be that.

My dealer puts his own Lexus Badge with the name of his dealership.

Oh my. For me, that's a big no-no. I don't do advertising for any dealer via decals or badges on my ride, and that is always an upfront requirement before negotiation begins. Even their complimentary license plate frames come off as soon as my new ride gets home, and I replace them with my own.

I would usually agree but I like this dealership for a number of reasons, one being the general manager has contributed thousands of dollars to local schools. Additionally we get a free weekly car wash and many other service benefits so in this case I am not unwilling to "advertise" his dealership.

BTW, as Bertl will confirm, you can bring your Lexus in ANYTIME for a free carwash at our new Lexus facility!! With 98 Service bays, there is lots of room also!!

Yes, I think Lexus announced some time ago that they will follow other makes like BMW and Mercedes in not putting their name on most or all future models and I applaud the decision. I think their logo says all that needes to be said with minimal clutter.

^ it's the same with the Toyota line.
my wife's 2011 Toyota Prius don't have the word "toyota" on the left side ( compared to the previous generation)
it's just Prius ( Left) and the Hybrid Synergy badge ( Right)
