Default Code P219B

Hello ladies and gents....it’s been awhile. We sold my wife’s 2001 RX and got her a 2013 RX with 40k miles, “certified” for $26k. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t be more proud, especially since we got $4800 for the 2001 RX!! It has the 12 speaker stereo....wow. Love it!

About a week ago she told me the Check engine light came on and I “read” it with scanner and it was P219B and would NOT allow me to erase it. It cleared the light, but like I said, wouldn’t erase it. It appears to be a very generic code. Since it was “certified”, it is under warranty it I wanted to post on here to see if anyone had any suggestions. It also revs pretty high sitting in the garage when she hasn’t started it in awhile....is this normal?

thank you in advance and look forward to contributing in anyway I can.

Oh btw, I couldn’t find any “things to watch” with this year model, but does anyone have anything they know of?

thx again,
Okie

Its time to collect on the extra money you paid for the CPO.

In your opinion, is the “certified” not worth the money?

ON the contrary it is worth its weight when you need the repairs done. In this case, I would make an appointment and won't even bother doing anything else.

+1 for Salim’s response. I’ve got a CPO and I just call the dealer and they come pick it up.

Ok, sorry for the delay. Dealership said it was a “firmware” update. It’s been 2 weeks and all is well for now
