TPMS Relearning
I always do my seasonal change of tires/rims myself and it is a drag to relearn the TPMS. I was using Techstream manually inputting set of TPMS ids. Never had to do anything with previous cars, BMW, Acura, Audi, etc. This 2015 RX hybrid has only one storage space for TPMS ids. in the ECU memory causing this hassle twice a year. This spring I got an early father's day gift, Autel TP501.(Came from H.K. via DHL Express which took only 4 days at lesser cost) With TP501 the job is swell now. Scan and read 4 TPMS id. starting from LF> RF>RR>LR, connect TP501 to OBD port on the vehicle. Execute relearn menu, done. It can relearn TPMS for any cars using different procedures. When TPMS is triggered it gives, id, temperature, pressure reading, frequency(for my RX, 315 MHz) It also can check remote starter fob TX frequency.
