Default Wiper Settings

What's up with the intermittent wiper settings being the opposite of my Camry? If you look at the adjuster, it has a tapered band to indicate short and quick wipes. On my Camry the thicker the longer the delay, and skinny shorter delay. On the RX, to get mine to wipe quicker, I have to move my **** to the thick part of the line. Is that a good up? or are all of them that way? Did I read the book........heck no ;-)

I do not look at the markings but "up" is more wiping and "down" is less wiping.
Same for the Rain Sensing feature if equipped, up is more, down for less.

It's a difference in meaning of those lines. For intermittent wipers, the thicker lines represent more "delay". For rain sensing wipers, the thicker lines represent more "sensitivity". This makes them operate in the opposite fashion. I'm not sure if it saved money being able to use the same part/circuitry somewhere, or someone simply didn't stop for 5 seconds to think it through before finalizing the design, but it sure is not intuitive moving between different Toyota vehicles.
