I have never asked a question in a forum before! I searched for an answer to this question, but came up with nothing. I am hoping someone can help me. The Touch Remote has back lights behind the MENU button and the MAP Voice button. These buttons are located right in front of the toggle stick/control stick (Not sure what it is called) . On the side of toggle stick is an ENTER button and a DISP button, but they do not light up and I cannot see them at night. I am trying to find out if this is just a poor design and it was made that way and not supposed to light up, or is there a fuse that needs to be replaced?

Poor design.

 

I'd have to say there are plenty of poor design issues with Lexus and lit buttons, but I can't say this is one of them. The enter button is a thumb button, if your hand is on the remote your thumb will be perfectly positioned over the enter button from either side. It would be like needing a light on your computer mouse button to be able to find it, it should just feel natural in your hand, there should be no reason to actually look at it.
