Default Automatic Headlight Dimmer

We have a 2010 RX350 with most options including the automatic headlight dimmer feature. It is a very good option and has been very reliable. This past weekend we met (3) new 2015/2016 GMC pickup trucks with the High Performance LED headlamps with blue light at night on the highway. In all 3 cases the automatic dimmer did not react until the trucks were close enough to flash their bright lights at the Lexus and then it auto dimmed down. All other vehicles we met with typical white lights, the auto dimmer worked fine. Has anyone else experienced this happening at night when coming up on these new LED headlamps?

Hmm interesting.
No, haven't experienced this yet.
Mine is so sensitive, it dims to low beams when there is a lamp at the end of someone's driveway.
Been flawless so far, but I've only had the RX a few weeks now.

I believe there is a sensitivity option in the settings menu. You can adjust it based on how much light the front of the car receives. I had that in my 2010, unfortunately no such function in the 2013

I've noticed the same thing with mine. The sensor seems to read warmer colors better than cooler. It seems to always turn off the high beams when a car with halogens or 4300K or so projectors but when they appear more white, the high beams do not always turn off.

Is that it because I was going to say it must've been an option I couldn't afford because I've never heard of that.

Its in the menu, go to set up, car settings, then light settings and it should be there.

Has anyone played with that setting and noticed a difference with auto high beams? I had always thought that the sensitivity setting was for headlights on at day vs night or entering tunnels.

Thanks for the feedback on the dimmer settings. I have went into Settings and adjusted it from "0" to +1. I have not been out at night to see if there is any difference on the new LED oncoming lights. I will follow up after we do some night driving.
