Default Snow Mode / ECT

My wife has a new RX350 she got in October. We have had our first snow and while we do not drive a lot in the snow (retired) I have a question on the ECT Mode. I read what the manual says and read some info on here as to what it does. The one question I have is about engaging it. Are you supposed to be stopped or can it be engaged while moving? I know on my 4WD truck you are not supposed to engage the 4WD over 40mph. Manual doesn't say anything about that that I could see.

i don't believe that snow mode engages the all wheel drive. The all wheel drive is self engaging at speeds under 25mph assuming that there is wheel slip. Snow mode detunes the engine and transmission shift points so that it is harder to spin the wheels in slippery situations. I believe that it can be engaged at any speed.
