Install nav bypass 2013 rx350
Got my kit a couple days ago and directions were hard to follow wrt removing panels left side of steering wheel. Garnish panel, no1 switch panel under left cup holder. Makes no sense as to why removing parts all the way on opposite side of steering .wheel.

Welcome to CL.
If your RX is still under warranty (which is probably the case with a 2013), installing an override for the factory NAV programming may (?) void the warranty on the system.

Just hit 50k yesterday. Still have extended warranty for 3 more years. If I have a nav system problem and I would want warranty repair I would remove bypass unit before taking to dealer. Who would be the wiser? I'm not tellin, are you? Haha could there be a trail left by the bypass, like a code that showed I had R and R 'd the unit?

Yes. Let's you enter destination, see more than 3 upcoming turns, all the features that stop working when you are moving. We just had a group buy that got it for $109 instead of $239 from beat sonic. Contact Cho there and appeal to his better nature, if he has one, if you are interested. Have to take a lot of panels off on the RX to access. From panel when u open driver door, entire panel under steering wheel, both side panels at the radio, and console from seat heat controls to above shift lever.
I'm planning to block an entire day. I think one of those projects that take 3 hours first time and 30 minutes if you had to do it again.
