I followed corradoMR2's excellent tutorial on removing the lower-portion (plastic) of the b pillar, but I cannot remove the upper-portion (fabric). I applied felt tape around the sticky insulation material but it did not stop the intermittent b pillar "ticking" around the driver's ear, which could be an alternative to chinese water torture since it is so freaking annoying!

I would like to apply the rubber asphalt and expanding foam insulation as corrado describes, but cannot get the upper b-pillar casing off. Can anyone provide a list of steps on how to do it?

Here is corrado's DIY thread, btw. I just couldn't figure out how to remove the top piece and have applied enough force that I'm concerned I would break it! Has anyone else had success with adding foam insulation and rubber asphalt? Thanks!
