Default Where do you put your sunglasses?

I know this is a stupid question -- but I had a 2000 RX300 that had a nice pocket near the sun roof for my glasses. My 2011 RX350 has no such convenience. Gee, what an over sight.

My '15 has a pocket in the same location as our '09 did; in the overhead console. However, it's not as well lined as before and the glasses do bump around more making noise.

Pocketbook

The middle console is pretty voluminous. How about that? I'm probably one of the only people that didn't care for the sunglass holder.

Thanks for the related thread. It appears that the SOS button took the place of the glasses pouch. OK -- center console it is!. Not as convenient, but it'll work.

Thanks for the quick response.

BTW, I love this forum. Everyone seems so willing to help. I also have a 2001 LS430 and a 2002 SC430. I'm on those forums often as well. Sometimes looking for help -- other times providing support like you have done here.

Maybe the black hole would've been a better way to refer to the middle console. Sorry if you had to look up voluminous in the dictionary, Jim

I didn't check the links, but one other place is to put the sunglasses in the dual cup holder (after removing the plastic insert). This works best if there is usually no passenger in the front seat.

I keep a pair of clip-ons in each door handle recess, they lay flat and are pretty much out of the way and are accessible if I am driving or the passenger. My wife keeps her sunglasses suitcase in her purse or in center console.

OP, I'm also one that puts my sunglasses in the center console of my 2013 RXh here in the US.

...but, FWIW, depending upon one's sunglasses style, it can still remain problematic and a discussion/complaint point when they may not fit in a mfgr provided holder. Such is the case with both pair of wrap-around sunglasses I own and my MBZ. My SLK has a built-in holder above the rearview mirror like the Gen2 RX had, but can only house a very flat and not very tall or wide profile set within (like what you'd see in GQ magazine on some model on the Riviera -- never on me. Living here in the Southwest, I go for sunglasses that provide coverage and protection, which tend to be wider and thicker when folded -- not minimal "style first" types that my German car seems to be designed to hold.)

I've used both the cup holder, the storage compartment in the door, and the shelf in front of the NAV screen. All have their drawbacks.

I used to put it where the cup holder is. Then the dog stepped on it and it got out of whack. I bought a new one. Have not figure where to put it. I guess I have to wear em.

Not the most elegant, but a sunvisor clip works...
