2014 RX 350 card key?
Bought my RX on friday used from a dealer. I recieved the 2 key fobs but, no card key.
I have the original window sticker also. The manual states the card key "if equipped".
I don't know if mine came equipped or not. The window sticker doesn't state it.
I'm wondering if maybe it wasn't turned in from the previous owner.

charley95, we get two key fobs only. You'll have to pay extra if you want the card key. The card itself is $185.57 and the card key another $70.47. Those are the prices you'll pay when you register with Sewell. Programming is additional.
Our friends in Canada receive two key fobs and the smart card. But then again they pay more than we do for the RX.

You can do that with the standard key as well. This is how most smart remotes work. This is not unique to the card key.

I've had the key card with the RX (it came with the F-Sport model) but optional on lower trim models.
Really liked it for the convenience of always being in my wallet and if you own two or more cars,
your pocket can get bulky quickly with two or more fobs if you carry them simultaneously. Else, you're constantly switching keys and risk losing/misplacing one set. My wife never cared for the key card since two key fobs in a mid-sized purse was a non-issue for her, but was great for me!
But the downside is in addition to what Anita mentioned about the remote start, you also cannot roll down your windows/sunroof, pop open the rear power door, or sound the alarm/panic from a distance.

I assume the key in the card could roll down the windows/open the moonroof by inserting it in the door and turning right? I wasn't aware of the other lost features. That's too bad. At least you didn't pay for yours.
Since the card has no physical or "Touch" buttons, there's no distant remote function hence no way for the panic, windows, or hatch functions. It's really form over mostly function.
