It is not typical for a Japanese car to have power going to power outlets when the vehicle is off.

Besides, this car is switch-everything-off happy. Leave any accessory, light, even ACC mode ON, and it WILL turn it off. Great feature for when you have family members not cognizant of the need to fully close doors or turning off interior lights.

The power outlets will have power to them only when in "on" or "accessory" mode. If the car is turned off, there will be no power to the outlets

Yup, as others said, no power when RX is turned off.

You may want to repost this in the correct forum for your NX. This is the RX350 2010-2015 forum.

Dashcams are fun but don’t fool yourselves that they will help you in a traffic accident. I had 4K video of a drunk driver hitting me and fleeing the scene with his license plate clear as day. State records show he lived nearby. Police report filed, they came to interview me, and nothing ever was done. His house was never visited. He was not arrested. His insurance, if he had any, did not pay so my insurance had to pay. There were even witnesses at the liquor store he was leaving when he hit me who said he was really drunk.

^^ No excuse for such behavior by your local authorities. I would be calling or visiting my State Attorney General's Consumer Protection office and getting them involved on my behalf.
