Default LED Foglight Upgrade?

Has anyone upgraded their fog lights to LED? I noticed these 18W JDM 6k White High Power LED Foglights Assembly for Lexus on ebay. Any feedback on functionality or light output? They are advertised as plug n play

You can either get the new factory fogs or get something like I did for my GS. It's VLEDS 5K. Simple plug and play. I did buy some online and one from ebay. They either don't look nice or are too big for the housing. I have the new rectangular fogs on our RX. IMO, the round shape looks better.

Gee5, a few members here have changed over to OE LED fog lights. You can read more about it here. I've tried LED, HID (times 3) and wound up going back to halogen bulbs from CL vendor, Nigel JDM Parts. They'e Phillips Diamond Vision from Japan. I've been very happy with them.

BTW, LED fog lights are now standard on the '15 RX.

From the screen shots above the LED fogs don't look very bright. How are they at night?

I had the same problem photographing my DIY LED DRLs on my Highlander. I think the camera's automatic exposure meter compensates for the brightness of a light in the daytime, much the same as our eyes do when we see car headlights in the daytime, not seeming as bright as at night.
Hope this helps.

At night the OEM led fogs are not only very bright they illuminate the road sides better than the halogens because of the wider beam pattern. Also, the led housings are adjustable up and down so you can have the cut-off lines where you want. The adjustment access is very easy to get to from under the front bumper. If you go with led aftermarket bulbs or install an HID system, you are stuck with the inferior beam pattern of the projector lens, and no adjustability.

Well that's enough for me! It seems as though I can't go wrong with the OE LED fogs. Makes no sense to halfstep with the aftermarkets and risk the possibilities of bad fitment or low light output. This time the extra cost is the right way to go.

Thank you all for chiming in and sharing your thoughts and experiences,

Installed my OEM LED fogs yesterday purchased from Sewell Lexus . First impressions are very good, A big improvement over the stock lenses! Not sure if they came "pre" adjusted, but they seem to have the same angle of light pattern as the stock fogs. Installation (curtesy of 07 Lexus Guy) was quick and painless! They are whiter in color than the headlights but a close match and improve both the look and light output over the stock fog lights!

Default 2011 Lexus RX350 Fog ight LED upgrade

Hello,
I have a 2011 Lexus RX350 with OEM halogen fog lights that I would like to swap out for LEDs. Is there an OEM swap or do I need to go aftermarket.
Thank you,
AL
