I was also thinking about changing the regular fog lights for LED. Those Morimoto look nice, but I was thinking about something like this: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/1283...-bulb/overview
What you think about this option? Would be better, worse or similar to the Morimotos?

Cheers,

That looks like a good option, I will research it a little.
I know that the fog light is the reflector type, so this flat LED may work very well.

I love the morimoto sealed Projecter LED Fogs that I put in 3 or 4 years ago. They're always burning when the headlights are one and haven't had any issues (with any of their products, I run a headlight from them on my motorcycle too). Love the spread of light the projectors give off too. Install was a bit of a pain though. Not much room in the bumper area to work.

Some CL members will say NOT to do that and will ONLY do OEM or some other VERY EXPENSIVE LED aftermarket stuff. Mine was as around $89 per pair vs some several hundreds or thousands of dollars. If I'm gonna spend that kind of money, then I will just get another car

^^^what kind were these as i am thinking of going this route as well....have it on my infiniti , i think from diodedynamics, but curious on your set up etc...thanks

Check out the following link: (the second link after you open it is the link with pictures from the "driver's point of view at night on very dark roads/parking lot".

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...l#post10397818

These LEDs I installed are now going 4+ years old and still going strong without any problems.

Keep in mind that after a while the manufacturer may not have the exact model bulb in production anymore. So I ordered one extra pair set at the time and still got it brand new in the box unused. This is just in case I will need to replace a burnt out LED bulb and still have it all color matching.

The ones I bought (pictures in the link) sold for $89 a pair and then about a year later came down to $69 a pair for the same.

Disclaimers: Some CL members will say that the LED lights I put in are CHEAP. These folks are willing and wanting to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on some aftermarket lights. While I'm also willing and able to do the same, but I subscribe to a different philosophy. These LED lights more than likely came off the same factory in China!!! I do what works for me and I hope you do too.

Good luck....

Excellent.

After you install the LEDs, please do a drive-by with another driver going towards you at night (to simulate a real world two lane roads at night) to make sure you don't blind oncoming traffic due to mis aimed lights

Amazon has a 30 day return policy. You should be able to figure if that particular LED lights you just bought will work or not very quickly.
