Providing for front license plate
I live in Florida where they do not have a state license plate in the front. When I traded in my auto a few months ago, my dealer changed the rear plate but did not put my "tennis lover" plate on the front.
I assume I have to drill holes in the front where there are indentations. What size drill bit should I use? Should I have expected the dealer to put the front plate on, without any charge?

Ours came to us from Nova Scotia where rear plate only is required.
In the trunk, by the spare tire, was a front plate mounting kit, required here in New Brunswick.
Front bumper will have two small dimples to use as locating guides. Simply turn the mounting screws in here, no drilling needed. Easy with a small socket set. Dealer may have a bunch of spare kits depending on factory prep..

Check with your SA to see if they will drill the holes for you. I live in TX where a front plate is required. My RX didn't have a license plate frame/holder when I bought it. The dealer put on the license plate frame for me at no charge.

If your state doesn't require a front plate, why in the world would you put something on the bumper? I got our RX in PA, where front plates are not required, and they put the mounting kit in the trunk.

I agree.....don't drill holes in the front of the bumber if you don't have to. My dealer put a bracket on the front and didn't use the right size screws to put the license plate on there, so now I have FOUR holes in my bumper. There are many options online to mount a bracket where the holes are on the underside of the bumper, so they are completely hidden.
