Default Viper Remote Start

I'm using Viper Remote Start now.

No EXTRA FOB. Program directly onto Lexus OEM Remote to start/stop the car
Also with Iphone/Android App can start/stop/opentrunk/Panic anywhere your cellphone has internet

$40 yearly subscription (optional for Cell phone remote )

Cost parts and installation $500

With Extra $199 you will have GPS module that track where your car located (display on the phone (optional))

Enform Remote is only on the following (all 2015)
IS
RC
GS
LS
ES (nav only)
NX (nav only)

Your RX will need the dealer installed RES to have remote start.

RES is still available like vlad said. It doesn't require a subscription and is cheaper than RES+. But it can only be activated using the fob within a certain range. There's other threads describing RES in more detail.

One of these ought to do the trick.
I got two sitting in the basement waiting to be put on the STi.
I'm tempted to try one out on the RX as a stand-alone remote start.

I don't think that's true. My 2015 RX450h doesn't have it installed. Remote Engine Start is a $499 option (code V4).

My 2015 came with RES installed already from factory/port. However I'm wondering if I can somehow add the RES+, perhaps an added extra part to make it work with my cell phone. Anyone know if this is possible?

spolski's list of Lexus models with standard Lexus Enform Remote is correct, notice that the RX, GX and LX are not on it. 2016 next generation RX out in Dec will get it.

The Safety Connect enrollment is the connective link for the phone and is $140/year after the 1 year trial.

LER is the phone app and also enables the fob to start/stop, it is $80/year after the 1 year trial.

Destination Assist is the live operator/ eDestination is the user interface that aids with Navigation and they
are $125/year after the 1 year trial.

S.C. is the base level, add options ie., LER and/or DA/eD if desired. $220 year for LER as others mentioned

Old Fashioned RES (80 foot Fob only) is available but not recommended for $500 with no fees.

bwsteg, the factory RES has no common parts with the RES+ so they replace it to add the phone app.
