Default Replacement key

I have a 2013 RX350 and we lost one key. Dealer wants $250 for it plus $150 for the insert which acts as a backup if the. Key battery fails. Is there anywhere to get this for less$?

It is not just the key fob but also the programming for it to be recognized by your vehicle.

If you create an account with Sewell and select that you are a CL member you can get a discount on most items. However, you will still need to have it programmed by your local dealer to be recognized.

It seems reasonable that a key with a microchip which has PERHAPS as much computing power as a small country just might cost a wee bit more than having one made at your local hardware store. That said, I would ditto the above comment with respect to Sewells. Sign up. Buy it. Get it cut. Have it sent to you. Goto your Lex dealer and have it programmed. IMHO its way less hassle and a more cost effective route this way.......now if your Lexus dealer wont give you any cookies while you are there.,,,,,then you have another dilemma.lol.....I wish you the best of luck...by now....
