When we purchased our RX 350, the salesman installed our Samsung Galaxy phones. They worked great until yesterday when my wife tried to call me from the car. She could hear me but I couldn't hear her. We took it to the dealer and the tech guy said it was our S2 phones. The car shows the phone connected and it plays the music from the phone. You can hear the person calling you, in the car but they can't hear you. I looked my phone up on the compatible list and it shows it as a good phone. It's SPHD 710 Galaxy S II. Any ideas?
Does the car respond to voice commands? If not, it may be an issue with the car's built-in mic. Short of that I would delete both phone and then reconnect them to see if that cures the issue.
I think you're right. When I tried voice commands the lady kept saying "Pardon." I also pressed the SOS button and the person asked if I was alright. When I answered yes another voice came on and said we can't hear you, are you alright. I then canceled the SOS with the button.
If it does turnout to be the mic, I would raise hell with the dealer. Talk to the service manager. That's a simple thing to check. Their "tech" guy isn't much of a tech! You may even get a free service!
The car is less than a month old so it should be under warranty. We had a meeting this morning with the tech and a manager. This is the second time this has happened and that's why we went to the manager. The tech couldn't get our phones to pair on our last RX and told us the same thing. We went home and paired the phones just fine. They need to send the guy back to school.
