BSM warning
I have had my new 450h for almost 7 months and do love this car. I took it in for its 6 month service, although apparently needn't have done so because we only have 1300 miles on it thus far. However, it checked out fine. Today whilst driving home from the local supermarket and we got a warning on the dashboard with the orange triangle saying to check BSM system. I had not done anything and am concerned why this should happen suddenly. I have called and will have to take the car to be checked. Has anyone experienced something like this? Any thoughts on what happened?
I just looked into the fat manual that came with the car. It listed several reasons for this warning to come on, one of them was very high (or low) outside temperature. Although we park in a garage under our building, we had been out in over 90 degree temperature for well over an hour. I think that this must have been the cause!
Karen, welcome to the forum. I've not seen that warning (BSM) on my car and operated it in temps over 100 degrees. I'd get in touch with your dealer. They'll plug a computer into it and have the picture in no time.
