Yep, you're reading it right. I have always had a light foot for the brake and clutch.

I coast a lot before lights; anticipating the stops helps a lot with brake wear, IMO.

OK, so I'm up to almost 185k miles. Ready for my 4th set of tires.

1 = OEM Dunlops
2 = Yokohama Parada Spec X, at 44,283
3 = Nitto Crosstek CUV 235/55R 19XL, at 106,793
4 = Nitto Crosstek CUV 235/55R 19XL - why not? I got nearly 80k out of the first set!

Sandi you have us beat. I'm currently at 120,225miles. Just got my tires replaced this morning with Michelin Defender LTX. The Pirelli Scorpio verde only lasted 27k miles before it was time for replacement. Very disappointed with them plus the ride and road noise was unbearable.

Sandi, are you having the brake fluid changes every 30k as stated in the manual?

Our 2011 RX350 just passed 125,000 miles. I changed the brake fluid yearly (about 30K miles in recent years), and just replaced spark plugs as well.

Nope. I do them every 50K, or when I have a brake job done. I'm getting close to the next brake job, I think. Now at 187k miles. Since I opened up my maintenance spreadsheet to look at costs, I can tell you this is what I've done for brakes:

- Adjusted rear brakes at 15k miles
- rotated tires and replaced brake fluid at 30,676 miles
- Inspected brakes at 52,242
- Inspected brakes at 62,773
- Inspected brakes at 77,273
- Recall for brake and floor mat inspection at 85,215
- Inspect brakes, replace fluid at 92,811
- Replace front brake pads and turn/resurface rotors at 94,141
- Replace rear brake pads and replace brake fluid at 120,564

One thing I do is take all the service records, and turn them into a spreadsheet, with basic descriptions of work done, mileage, dates, and cost. I just updated that spreadsheet after the new tires were mounted last week.

*Including* the three sets of tires, for which I've paid, my 7 years and 2 month of ownership has cost me $11,325. If I subtract the three sets of tires + road hazard plans, the costs are $7911 to date.

Running fine! We just did an 800-mile road trip with it last weekend. Now over 190k miles. :eek:
