Gholla, how is your car now? Any major repairs yet? I'm finding the same with mine, I purchased mine used.

Et al, I do t understand the suggestion that it is a user error if someone doesn't let the car warm up "a few seconds". It takes much much longer for a car to warm up.

 

FWIW, I back our '11 out of the garage with foot on the brake immediately after starting, because of the driveway incline, morning temp is around 60 deg. F. Shift into D in the street, roll a few feet, then step on the gas. No thud.

My 06 GS 300 does that same loud thump when shifting to drive. I spent $120 for the same answer. Nothing we can do, nothing wrong. Wth!
