I just purchased a CPO 2011 RX and noticed last night that, with the exception of the SOS button, none of the overhead switched illuminate at light. I would have expected the light controls, or homelink, or sunroof...something to illuminate at night. Is it just my car or do ann the RX's not illuminate the overhead switches?

 

You're not alone and there's nothing wrong with your RX. Lexus really did a bad job on the overhead illumination.

This topic has been discussed many many times. Do a search and you'll see how much we all hate the lack of illumination.

 

They must have heard all of these complaints and addressed in the 2013 MY. Short of a couple buttons, everything else is illuminated. I actually looked at it after reading on of the threads.
The homelink system is now in the mirror; also illuminated.

 

I also took a look at my 2013 RX 350 and most of the items discussed in this thread are illuminated. Glad Lexus fixed the issue.

 

Hmmmm.... betcha we can't retrofit the new with the old. Be nice if we could, would just have to convince someone to total their '13 and then follow it to the junkyard.
