This is what Lexus should do, lets hope someone will read this... I know we are being picky but we want perfection.
Well, you aren't going to get perfection for $40k which would be different for each individual. The lack of lighting on the buttons is a minor irritation but hardly worth the handwringing that occurs everytime this is brought up. Would I like the buttons lit, and have the sunglass holder restored, yes, absolutely. Is it worth continuously complaining about it or is it a deal breaker in owning the car? No, it's not.

I'd have to disagree. These are minor features that should be in a 50k car. They are in 25k cars and Lexus is the luxury division of Toyota. Of course any sane person won't base their buying decisions on these things but they are cost cutting their luxury brand which will turn more people toward the German cars

I agree - Sunglass holder, wood inlay on the rear center armrest, - Lexus has to be careful not to cross the line of de - contenting their cars.
To be fair - For less than most of the competition you get 10 way power, heated /cooled front seats. The New JX only gives you a 6-way power passenger on their top trim.
The new Subaru Forester has only manual slide and seatback adjustment - no height or lumbar for the front passenger. Yes, this is not a luxury car - but the XT Turbo Touring tops out at over 37K MSRP!
Yes for 50K I should only be considering tech, engine upgrades and sport handling options. Creature comforts should be standard.
The people that determine the standard features and options..............take the train to work!
