A couple of weeks ago I purchased a hitch receiver for my new RX450H and also purchased a Lexus hitch cover. (Basic rubber L, but costs around $15 for a $2 item) Anyway, someone "pulled the plug" and that really bugs me!!! Just had to vent.

Sorry to hear. I have a bit more expensive custom metal cover on mine, and put one of these Master Locks through it and the hitch receiver. It will at least keep any @#%(* child-like theives from taking mine.

Since never having a receiver hitch before, I am going to buy one more rubber cover, hoping it was a fluke this time around. See what happens. At least now I know why so many cars I see don't have a cover at all.

I considered that, but it sure fits in pretty snug, but did have to go through the car wash a few times because of all the snow....
