Default Any tips on setting up fuel consumption history?

Hello to all.

I cannot figure out how to set the fuel consumption history up. I am driving a 2010 "pre SOS" RX350. Any help would be appreciated.

My fuel consumption history looks like this. I cant seem to change it. I have seen other 2010's where there is a number of history of bar charts showing a variety of fuel consumption history and some numbers in "Best MPG. This one is always the the same, only one bar. No best MPG.

Thanks so much.
Dan

Hi Dan,

What you do is "update" or reset the Average MPG after each fill up or whenever you please. Then the dates will stamp on the graph.

Based on my gas mileage usage I would say you don't really want to track it. It will just depress you ;-)

Hmmm, interesting screenshot, in that, when I clear that display, it stamps "July 20, 2009" as the start date. I always wondered if that was the day the car took it's first "breath" off the assembly line. It's official warranty in service date is something like Aug 20, 2009.

As far as using the display, I've been in the habit of resetting my "average" (as flipside pointed out) on the last day of every month, so I get a monthly bar graph. I figure its a good way to show seasonal variations.

I usually reset the miles per hour at the same time as miles per gallon.

Droid,
Seasonal variations...nice idea.

You got that straight.

Flipside: Thanks. I will give it a shot. There is obviously nothing to lose.

Hi Flipside,

What's the differences between avg MPG and the one says after refill?

Timing is everything, as the saying goes. After refill resets, well, after refill. Average resets when you tell it to. Other than that, the same thing.

so it basically mean it's useless to have both.

Both of my avg will reset by itself so how do you tell it to reset?
