Default RX starfire pearl discoloration

Hello guys, I noticed that all the door handles on my white starfire pearl 2010 RX have developed a darker patch of paint all around the door handles, I want to know if you have the same color if yours are having the same issues. Here is a picture where you can see the difference it looks like a coffe mix with milk light stain around all the handles.

It looks like your car was resprayed, did you buy it new?

Bought it used from Tri County Lexus in NJ, supposedly it was CPO, and with a clean Carfax.

Looking at that 'stain' pattern around the handles and also that other patch above and left of the handle suggests some repair of something. I'd go back to the dealer and ask him to explain what is obvious.

Is weird it looks like is coming from under the clear coat from the white paint itself. The clear coat is completely shinny.

CPO doesn't mean it is accident/repair free vehicle. My RX had about $5k worth body repair when it was only 6 months old and Carfax ran "clean" a month ago when I was at the Acura dealer looking at new RDX.

refinished for sure. pearl paints are three stage paints with base/pearl/clear. from the picture, painter refinished without pearl hence differences.

You should take it back and have them refinish correctly.

It looks like they repainted to cover the inevitable finger nail scratches you get behind the door handles.

+1. I saw something similar on other cars (CPO) I was looking at prior to deciding on new. Ring scratches are common, especially from women and the diamonds on their fingers (no offense intended). With the demographic of this vehicle scratches are pretty much unavoidable so when you run across a perfect example chances are it has been resprayed or there were 3M door cup protectors that were in place like I had put on mine
