Anyone here use those red and green battery felt post pads on your battery to prevent corrosion?
I find there less messy then a coating of grease or vasoline.

Both are recommended, for different reasons. The red and green felt pieces are treated to neutralize the fumes while three grease keeps the corrosives away from the battery terminals and connectors.

Also don't forget to add distilled water to the battery, specially in this summer heat it is boiling away fast. Our OEM batteries are not maintenance free. Just open the two covers on the front right of the engine bay to access the battery. To see if it needs water look in the maintenance cap on the lower left corner if it is red or bluish red then you need to add water.

My '13 has NO such window to check the battery so may be a sealed one like most are! It just says; Made by Johnson Controls for Toyota. They also make most SEARS Die Hards. They have since SEARS buyers were busted for taking bribes from Exide Battery a few years ago!! Must be a change from 2012! I cannot pry off the cap at all so pretty sure considered a "sealed" battery like most are these days!!
