Pick up Our New RX Today
Well, we drove our new 2012 RX 350 home today, black with lt gray interior and can't believe this day finally came.
We traded in our 2000 RX 300 w/90,000 miles on the O/D.
Many features are the same, but many are not, so there's a new learning curve to master.
Power tailgate is nice
Key less entry and start/stop is different.
No more CD cassettes, just insert your 6 CD's in.
I-pod interface is nice
The air sensor on the tires is nice if it works ok.
The drink holder and storage bin in the rear console in nice touch.
So is the lever to drop the back seat on the side of the hatch nice.
Install a complete set of Weather Tech mats in gray for winter, but I wish I would have ordered them in black.
My RX came with black carpet mats and really looks sharp with the Lt gray and black interior,
oh well the gray well work too.
My wife was surprised when they presented her with a dozen red roses on delivery.
So far it's flaw-less and hope it stays that way.
Still haven't made up my mind on extended warranty yet, but I got until January 1st. for them to hold that price.
Cheers!

Never paid this much for roses before................
The dealership I bought my RX 300 from in 2000 would give you free box of cashews when
you went in for service.

One question on my new RX...........
In order to fold the back seats down flat, do those head rest have to be removed every time?
If so, I suppose it wouldn't be a good idea to just leave them off................

Lower head rests, slide rear seats back and fold down. Usually not a problem. You may need to slide front seats up a bit. Make sure the luggage cover is disconnected and or removed. Flopping seats down while connected yanks on it otherwise. I usually carry a sheet to cover seat backs to prevent damage. Okay then, too much information...
Yes, if you remove headrests, put them back.

No, I don't play soccer!
GRPFAN, congrats on your new RX. It has to be a leap coming from the 300. Wait until you read through the manuals (1,000+ pages). Since it's the holidays I'll cut you a break. Your test on the features and functionality of your new 350 will be the first week of the next year
Have fun with your RX!

Picked up a 2012 SFP with parchment interior a few days ago. The dealership gave us a really nice bottle of wine as a gift. The flowers is a really nice touch though.
