No full size spare here. I saw it on an RX last year. It's not as small or offensive as people think. Beats a can of fix-a-flat any day.

It will not fit. On overseas models that do have a full size spare, the whole cargo floor is raised by like 1.5 inches to accommodate the extra size. I dont have a picture of the cargo floor and what it would look like, but you can get a good idea from this cargo lid diagram.

Thanks RXSF

The picture explains it very well. Guess I will have to live with the standard wheel then - don't like the idea of a "raised" floor.

Cheers

It is strange how Lexus took the full size spare away. I've only used it once in 13 years. It's not a big loss IMO.

never used mine at all. I did take the nice spare rim though and changed it with a really curb rashed one on my 330

The spare is "full size" in diameter so as not to mess up the computer/transmission. It is very thin/narrow and not intended for normal use other than emergency use in case of a flat tire on the regular tires. I can live with that.

I think the storage space is more important than a big tire that you may never use especially with the 19" tires. The secret is to buy good tires and keep them properly inflated. Also rotate the tires every 10k miles.
Cheers,
Jim

That all sounds good until you hit a chunk of debris on the freeway and it slashes your tire open. 19" Michelin's properly inflated are not immune to road debris. I'm just glad I had a spare tire instead of a can of fix-a-flat. No way a can of fix-a-flat would have got me going again. I just had a short 'drive of shame', as I call it, with Chrome rims and a temporary spare to the Dealership. I'm glad I got the wheel and tire insurance, no cost what so ever for the new tire.

Just curious, with a flat tire will mother Lexus send a platform truck or what when you push the SOS button?

If you have a flat tire, they will probably just send someone out to change the flat for you with the spare. They arent going to spend money to have you flatbedded. If you cant start the engine, they you have to request a flatbed when you talk to them

I did push the SOS button and I asked the woman what they would do. She said they would send someone to put the spare on. I told them not to bother as I did not want to wait 45 minutes for them and, I am quite capable of doing it. At least I had the option, which is nice. If they were going to send a flatbed I would have waited. Go figure.

Has anyone found the part number for this yet?
