Shift lever squeeks
When I move the shift lever up (from Drive to Park or Drive to Reverse), it squeaks. Moving the other way doesn't make a noise. The noise is clearly coming from right below the lever. Can this thing be lubricated somehow?

Mine started doing the exact same thing about two months ago. I've had my RX just over a year. It's either squeaking or rubbing. I'm due for a tire rotation, so I'm planning on having the dealership address it when I go in.

Same problem. Last month, I had a side mirror fixed, together with a moaning/grinding steering wheel column, and asked the dealer to fix. Mechanic who looked at it said they need to replace the part (not sure they meant the whole shift lever, or some gears inside - lubricating it did not help). They had to place the order on the part, so I will have this done when I'm up for 30k service, a few months away.

I experienced this as well on my '15 RX ( ~ 35K miles ) as the temps drastically dropped last week ( along with the damn TPMS light ). However, it seems to have gone today ( 10/15/18, Monday ) as ambient temps went up a bit.

My 2012 RX 350 shifter just started making the squeaking noise as well on an intermittent basis while shifting from Drive to Park or Reverse. When shopping for this vehicle last year I found that most of the RX 350's I test drove (about 10 of them) had squeaky shifters. A local Lexus dealer who inspected one of the RX's said that the shifter assembly would need to be replaced if I wanted to get rid of the noise since it's not a serviceable item.

Took it to dealer, and they say “it’s normal”. Definitely unacceptable as they just don’t care and don’t want to fix it. Will need to escalate to corporate if they don’t do anything about it. Did anyone actually have it fixed via lubricant or part replacement?
