Question Using Radio with Nav Screen?!?!?

When I am viewing the Nav map screen on my 2010 RX while listening to the radio, I have no clue what station I'm on unless I press the seek button. Am I missing the setting that will allow a strip on top of the map screen to display the radio info???

See my earlier post. This may or may not be what you want.

Somewhere burried in the settings menu, you can tell the nav to keep the screen on the Audio screen instead of changing back to the map after a few seconds.

What I think the OP is asking is how can I watch the nav screen and trigger the banner telling me the radio station without changing stations.

It's like watching the nav screen and wanting to know the temperature setting without changing the temperature.

I think you must trigger a change to bring up the banner at the top of the nav screen. He/she would prefer not to make a change, but still know the information.

I don't think that is possible. The change triggers the banner to be displayed.

I'd have to check does changing the volume trigger the banner? A volume change isn't as drastic a change as channel change.

a volume change only gives you a volume banner and not what station you are on

Thanks RX, is there a voice command that triggers the banner?

as far as I know, there is no way to get the banner to stay up

note that on the new GS with the 12 inch wide screen, you can show two things at once, like map and audio...

You mean the new GS will have the BMW wide screen, that shows map + other info.

Remote touch? Off-center? Sensitive to passenger's weight to keep Nav functional while car in motion?

If you can get lawyers to stop suing manufactures for every little thing, Toyota would not lock it out.

Not to derail the topic but I thought that interior must be from an 80's car. Not sleek at all IMO. I guess it's to attract baby boomers.

From the looks of the exterior teaser pic, that interior is a mismatch to the exterior.

Yeah, like what is that square deformity between the air vents?

Oh wait...I see now, things are taped over hiding the identity...duh.

Don't like the location of the seat controls of the passenger seat.

If it wasn't for the push button start, I would definitely think it was from the 80's.
