My I phone BT works fine in my 2011 RX450.

It seems I can't play music through the BT. The I phone shows the RX as a multimedia device?

Is this normal?

The BT pull-down is grayed out?

You have to pair the iPhone a second time using the BT menus. It makes 2 bluetooth connections at the same time -- one for phone, and one for music.

 

you have to connect the BT for the audio separate.
does your BT connect everytime you start the engine? mine doesn't connect everytime, i dont know if it because of the phone or the car system. im using iphone 4 too

first connect BT for the phone function. after that another prompt will ask you that your phone can be use as an "audio player". "Would you like to connect it too?". Said yes and done.

Now every time i get into the car turn on the BT on the phone, the music automatic plays. Very cool.

 

I had to reconnect my iPhone 4 once in a while, esp after upgrading OS. Maybe it's because I do not drive RX daily basis. BT phone always works, but for audio, I have to reconnect once in awhile
