Where are you guys getting it from? I usually get my Mobil1 5-30 for my other cars at Walmart...but I have never seen 0-20 there. Guess I will have to check Advance Auto if anything.

at walmart, 5 quart jug of Mobil1 0w-20 are always out of stock and because its not one of the more common stock item, its not often to see them on the shelf. Last time I asked the floor person and found four 5quart jugs in the back which I grabbed all four for $23.xx each. last time we had gas price go up, same engine oil price went up almost to $26 for same 5 quart jug. one quart is also hard to find on the shelves and they are $6.xx per quart but they have it. I think Toyota is the only manufactural I know that uses 0w-20. Most I know on newer vehicles use 5w20 which are compatible with 0w-20.

Mobil One is great - or, if there's a local Toyota dealer they stock 0-20 oil for the Prius and if you buy a case of a dozen quarts at a time they usually discount it below $6/each.

I just picked up the Mobil1 0W-20 5qt from Walmart for $24.50 and stopped by O'reilly to get the 1 qt bottles for $4.99. Pretty good deal so I thought I stock up on those.
Ordered the oil filter (Toyota part number) from Sewell Lexus for a good price too.

In the future, I will be using Mobil 1 5W-20 since I own another vehicle (Acura) that requires the 5W-20. I do not believe that the 0W is needed in Oregon to justify it's use.

Jim, it takes a new mind set to convert to 0w20w after most of us grew up using 20w30w or higher. However this is a new 'low friction' engine family designed for the 0w20w oil. The book, the shop, and the engineers that designed it say stay with the correct lube. You'll actually have a longer life, more performance, and better mileage.

I've not found anyone in these forums yet that have experienced a problem with it. And the book does say if you had 5w20w in a change, it 'probably' won't hurt for 5k, but should be changed back to 0w20w ASAP.

But it's your car so.....

Why do you need to justify the use of 0W20 oil, it is what Lexus recommands. Its only a $1 more a quart, so thats a extra $8 a year.
