Default Interior cleaning tips

Hi looking for tips to care for interior , have light gray with 2 young kids sitting in the back. I read some other thread and have ordered 303 solution , do I apply this on the dash and leather? How often do ppl here treat the leather? Thanks

For your leather seats, I recommend Lexol. Full clean and condition twice a year, and "on demand" cleaning as necessary. The leather on dash is usually coated, so 303 protectant should be good enough for that.

bought a cheapy Turtle Wax : Normal Protectant for the dash. Will it damage the dash skin?

Read this. More you see "instant" shine, more long term damage you will see.

For everything but the leather I am using this product:

http://properautocare.com/eivicapr.html

Seems pretty good so far (not too shiny) and I hear you can use it on the external trim along the bottom of the car if you like.

For the leather I am using Zaino Z-9 (cleaner) and Z-10 (conditioner). The car is new, so I have only used Z-10 so far. I will probably use the cleaner once a month or so and as needed for spot cleaning and the Z-10 every time I clean the interior. Although I did read that you may want to do a light clean every time to prevent buildup of the conditioner.

For what it's worth, here's an interesting article from the Lexus Vehicle Insider (from the perspective of someone at Lexus) on the best way to clean the interior.....

Interesting - I think what he is really saying is don't clean it at all, then when it is nice and dirty our dealers can detail it for you at 5x the going rate

I just don't see water doing much good with greasy sweat on leather after a summer of 90+ degree days - especially the lighter colors. I have black, so it would not be as noticeable, but I still know it is there.

For dash, and other trim pieces, I like the UV protection - especially at 5280 ft. But ... to each his own.
