Default driver and passenger side mirrors...

I just noticed today that my side mirrors are not tilting down when the car is put in reverse. Was checking here for any nuggets of info before going to the dealer. Anyone have this happen before?

Thanks!

You just have to make sure that the mirror adjuster switch is set to either left or right. If it is it should tilt down when in reverse.

^^ that is correct. Either the L or the R button must be lit.

As a side note, I noticed that they dont turn down that much compared to the previous RX

that does not sound like a good design. why would i leave one adjuster on if i dont plan to adjust and side mirrors? if i leave one on a side mirror can be adjust by accident when searching for other buttons such as door unlock.

it was okay in the previous generation design because the adjustment buttons were placed where the gas tank opener button is now. I believe Lexus has this set up on all their cars. However, after moving the side mirror adjustments to the door, I agree it might cause a problem.

Lexus has had some problems the last few years with the tilt action.Seems a plastic gear was an issue.I hope an updated gear is being used now.
