ipod interface
note to Lexus folks following this thread--the current interface supplied with car is horrible. And presents a danger when driving. To change anything requires more effort than inputting a destination on nav.
I especially like (not) how when scrolling it picks up whatever tune it wants.

I believe the problem was solved somewhere between navigation firmware version 350 and 357. Corporate Lexus either 1) feels the problem is inconsequential why bother fixing it, 2) the problem is fixable, but too expensive to fix, 3) the number of people it affects is too small to worry about fixing it or 4) they are sitting at a committee meeting trying to determine whether to charge for the fix or offer it free and the ultimate effect that will have on their bottom line. Just how many RX's with navigation version 350 were made before the upgrade to navigation 357? How many cars sold with the "older" version firmware were purchased by folks with iPods who really notice the problem?
Many of us have spoken with our service advisors about the issue and have waited patently for a resolution. It has not been forth coming. Spending money on a third party solution maybe your only choice. Although some suggestions have been made to organize your music differently on your iPod or use a USB drive.
This is my humble opinion and probably not worth the time it took you to read this.
Good luck to you.
