Default GPS Address Entry

I tried to use GPS by doing "menu->Destination->Address". However, the "Address" button was grey out. I could not enter the destination address. I was driving at that moment.

What was the problem that prevented me from entering the destination address ?

Won't let you do that (enter destinations) while you are driving. it shuld work when you are stopped. alternatively, try using Lexus connect or whatever it's called

If the address happens to be a previous destination, you can select it while driving. Calling Lexus or getting the PS override kit are your other options.

it's a kit that will allow you to override the system and access all navigation menus when driving. you can email chung@prestigioussociety.com for more info. still loving mine in my gs

On the RX, can you enter Destinations while on the move with Voice Command?

unless they change it on the gen6, you should be able to use voice command to input when the car is moving, at least that was the case for gen4/5. but then the voice recognition on those generations aren't that impressive, i have never used them, haha

I have a 2010 ES350 and I understand they improved the voice recognition quite a bit. It works a lot better than on my 2007. I wasn't sure if the new gen RX got the same updates, but thought it probably did.

Voice command is useless for me. Even deepening my voice didn't work. Must be a female thing

I use the voice command often for phone calls and 'Destination' entries while driving. Usually works fine, might be my GA speak Southern accent .

She must love your southern charm I was trying to make a phone call two weeks ago using voice command and she kept telling me 'pardon?' My service advisor said the same thing happens to her and she has an '09. I guess I'll have to revisit installing the PS and put the B to sleep
