Rear sub for so called "Premium Sound System?"
Hey so I don't know about America but in Canada we have 3 different sound systems:
Basic w/o Nav
Premium w/ Nav w/ rear sub apparently 12 inch?
and ML (obvs everyone has this)
What I want to know is for the premium system, is there any way to make the sub loud at all?! I have set my settings for treble, mid and bass but no matter what I play I get no bass!
In my FX I have the bose with two rear 8 inch subs and those pound much more than you think they would for a stock system and sounds amazing.
All I am saying for a rear sub, there is no base at all I mean none! When I drove a landrover lr3, it also had a 12 inch rear and you could definately hear that.
So really I all want to know is, how is everyone else's system? Does the sub pound a little for any of you?

im assuming you have the bass on level 5 too?
im not sure if you are exagerating, but if there is truly no bass whatsoever, then there is something wrong with your sub. However, stock lexus systems usually dont give you enough umph to annoy the cars next to you

Lexus' so-called "premium" audio systems tend to be mediocre and lack bass. The amp does not have enough power to drive the subwoofer sufficiently loud for your tastes. The only solution, other than turning down treble & midrange a few notches and turning up bass all the way, is to have an after-market subwoofer and subwoofer amp added. A risky but cheaper solution would be to replace the subwoofer with one of slightly lower impedance. This will void your stereo's warranty and risk blowing the amp, but if you don't play your music loud it should work ok.

Damn maybe should have got the ML, well whatever, there is no distortion which is good and sound is clear just no bass
I doubt CDs would make a difference? I run off usb and ipod most times and never cds but the bitrate is never down played on usbs so I will stick with that.
