Default Playing Iphone Video on Nav Screen?
Possible? Any third party kits? I have a 2010 RX350.

I believe you need the mark levinson to play DVD video, so I'm sure you'd need it to play from an ipod if that is indeed possible. Do you have the ML?

You can not play ipod video on any RX without using an aftermarket module.

Sorry if I wasn't clear and don't know if this is going to be any better. What I was trying to say was that I thought the upgraded Mark Levinson audio system was required for any video to be displayed on the Nav screen. However, wyau01 states you can use an aftermarket module to play ipod video on the RX, so I stand corrected.

Vaistech makes it. It works like a charm on my IS350 as I watch shows, mv and youtube on my ML Nav screen. I think it will work on the non ML model too

Thanks. I was looking at the Vaistech, but when i spoke to them, they said it doesn't work with the 2010 RX models. Does anyone have it working in the 2010 RX?

do you have an aux input for your car? i know people have jailbroken their iphones and downloaded tv out which is a video output and they were able to display stuff on their phone to the navi screen. actually works very well if your car does not have navi, you can use this to make navigation show up.

Yes my iphone is jailbroken and yes I think the RX has an aux. How would you get video to the nav screen though? I am not seeing how a jailbroken iphone will help.

Do explain as i am very interested.

i just reread the thread, the person is using vaistech but they are able to display things from their iphone to the nav screen.

I did it on my '04 RX with a Vaistech device(car sold). Since you already spoke with them, so I guess it won't work for the'10 RX.

mafialink, I got the PS override for DVD, and my Ipod died, so the answer is no as of now. I will need to see the new product first before changing my mind.
