Just order a set from Sewell, $57, what a bargain. Do I need any special tool to install them such as 90 deg. screwdriver or stubby? Do I still need to drill into the rear bumper to intall the rear flaps for the 2011?
Easy 20-25 minute install.
I used a Torx screwdriver but a 4mm Allen wrench works well along with a 10mm socket ratchet.Cut the front wheels for more room.
The rears a 10mm socket ratchet and a #2 Phillips Screwdriver stubby if I remember correctly..
Drilling was required on the 2nd gen, not 3rd gen best I can remember. My dealer put them on for me Sweet price. Some people got them for four times that much
On the Sewell installation guide, it said to drill holes at where the dimples are in the rear. I assume you guys did not do that and just let the self tapping screw do all the work.
Yeah, self tapping screw works well and you must use the clip supplied.
You'll see when your kit arrives.
I drilled holes in the dimples in the rear (very easy drilling through the plastic). Takes seconds only do drill--they specify the drill bit size in the instructions.
Jim, would you said drilling is a necessary step or can I get away without drilling like others here have.
It's necessary for the '10 rx, you wont be able to put the rear ones w/o drilling don't worry if you know how to use a drill you'll be fine. A smaller size drill bit will do and then use the screw that comes with it.

Oh yes sorry when I said drilling I meant you need a hole no matter what....
