Easy 20-25 minute install.
I used a Torx screwdriver but a 4mm Allen wrench works well along with a 10mm socket ratchet.Cut the front wheels for more room.
The rears a 10mm socket ratchet and a #2 Phillips Screwdriver stubby if I remember correctly..

Wasn't on the '10.I can't see why the '11 would be different.
I believe there's a dimple where the self tapping screw and clip goes.

Drilling was required on the 2nd gen, not 3rd gen best I can remember. My dealer put them on for me Sweet price. Some people got them for four times that much

Yeah, self tapping screw works well and you must use the clip supplied.
You'll see when your kit arrives.

Do you install it yourself or did you have your mechanic do it?

I drilled holes in the dimples in the rear (very easy drilling through the plastic). Takes seconds only do drill--they specify the drill bit size in the instructions.

Yes (1/4"), the same diameter as the screw since the spring clips is what holds the screws intact for the rear mudguards.

It's necessary for the '10 rx, you wont be able to put the rear ones w/o drilling don't worry if you know how to use a drill you'll be fine. A smaller size drill bit will do and then use the screw that comes with it.

I installed the rears just with the self tapping screw. No drilling.
The dimple is there and the screw tip is sharp going into plastic.

yahj, did you get self tapping screws with the mud guard kit for the rears?

A few of us bought Lexus mud guard kits from a Canadian dealer and drilling wasn't necessary with that kit.
Here's the thread.

Possibly the installation hardware is different between Sewell and the Canadian Lexus dealer part.

it's a soft plastic to drill into anyway so I guess you can use the self tapping screw.
