Took 20 minutes, I didn't have instructions and looking at it, mistook the front and rears so I was figuring out why it didn't fit, then I tried switching and bingo! haha
Hey, just received my mudflaps from Sewell at the great ClubLexus discount, and they arrived in just a few days. The official installation instructions recommend using a degreaser of some sort on the application area. Do I really need to do that? Has anyone else done that?
I, too, just installed mine today! I can't see why the "degreaser" is necessary, unless you've got lots of road tar/grease. Just to be safe, I cleaned the bumper and body panels with soapy water before installing. It took me longer to find the proper tools than it did to install them!
Just installed mine. I'd describe myself as not very mechanically inclined, so it took me about 30 min once I gathered the right tools. The car is pretty new, so I didn't really see the point of the de-greaser, either.
Thanks for all the great info. My question to those who have fitted the mud flaps is: apart from looking great, do the flaps actually help with keeping the car's bodywork any cleaner?
I'm trying to work out if it is worth getting them for my new rx450h here in Oz. The dealer here said the car comes with rear flaps but no front ones are available so I guess I would have to get a full set shipped over from your end.

They do keep small stones and alike from hitting the body work. Rain splash does get bye, just not as much.

Yes and no. It's hard to tell how many rocks and dirt the guards help keep away from the RX. I noticed in the winter the tire spray pattern is very different from my old RXs also with mud guards. It now makes it up close to the window. But that's after driving in heavy snow and slush. Obviously it helps diffuse it a bit.

Call your local dealer again in Oz and ask for a PZQ4148010. It includes both front and rear mud guards for the 2010 RX models.
I passed the part number onto the dealer who then discovered that the flaps are available in Australia. I'm now driving a new 450h with front and rear mudflaps!! I got them to fit new front and rear flaps as the rear flaps that come as standard here in Oz are different (and inferior) to the ones available as accessories.
