Default Interior Lighting Question

Twice now we have left the LED interior roof light on when leaving the car and when we came back several hours later the light was still on. I would have thought there would have been a safety cut off so one does not drain the battery.

Or is this one of the adjustable features?

I don't recall there is such a feature. It seems that all the cars I owned in the past would never cut the power. The interior bulbs/LEDs will be lighted until the battery is over.

Maybe there are cars having this feature...

If that light is a LED, it will take like months to drain the battery

my 99 vette has the feature--my 96 SHO does, and many of my prior cars did as does my current BMW.

I naturally assumed the rx did--since the accessory plugs turn off.

Just have to make sure we turn it off when we leave.

Be honest to you, I never paid attention to them. Good to know many of cars do this. Maybe some of my old cars did, too. I never give it a try.

the lights would automatically turns itself off after certain time (also customizable) if and only if - all the doors are SHUT...that's when the clock starts counting.
