I had a 2010 RX Loaner while my 07 ES350 was in for service. I too was surprised by the rattles on a 5800 mile Lexus. Quite honestly its embarassing that these things are slipping past quality control.

Just embarassing, considering how quiet less expensive SUV's are now.

+1. I have been lurking here for awhile trying to learn re the new model as my wifey wants to trade her 07 RX350 for the 2010 RX. I am attempting to convince her to wait till 2011 model.

I agree with the above and also like my cars to be rattle free. Please note, we are truly a Lexus family... currently four cars in the driveway. But lately IMHO Lexus has lost the "Relentless" and is now only in "pursuit" of perfection. i.e. we just returned from a round trip from Houston to Scottsdale in our 07 LS460L... Lexus flagship; all I can say about this long trip is that Lexus is losing its loyal customer base rapidly.

I also received a check for $4500 for the difference in prices. This is a first class dealer that understands customer satisfaction.

.
I wish that could be said about some of the dealers in Houston area.

I know I complained about a rattle in our 2010. However I posted yesterday that we found the source. After removing the source, there is no more rattle. It's really a nice car and I would recommend it to anybody.

As good as Lexus cars can be, they seem to be plaqued with interior rattles. It's one of the major reasons I sold my GS300. After many times at the dealer, I finally gave up on it. Our RX330 also has some dash noises, but it's my wife's car and she doesn't care or even notice the rattles.

I think we should keep in mind that on this forum we hear from the vocal minority of 2010 RX owners that have had problems, mostly minor problems.

We never hear from the vast silent majority of 2010 RX owners who have never had a problem and are 100% happy with their vehicle. With that in mind I don't really think we can say the 2010 is plagued with anything.

Couldn't have said better myself.
