Intro and Pics
Hello Everyone..
My name is Nate and just wanted to introduce myself. I am from Houston and have been lurking the RX forum since we ordered our RX back in late June.We took delivery of our RX last month and the weather here in Houston finally cooperated this weekend so I decided to take a few pics. I was active on the IS board for a few years until I got a Toyota FJ back in 2007.
Y'all have been very helpful and this is a wonderful message board.
Hope you enjoy the pics!

All those mods in a month. Wow! Curious if you notice a ride difference with the larger wheels and grippier tires.
I couldn't really tell the difference between stock and LED park lights, but it's never the same from pics vs real life. Those easy to put in ie DIY?
OOps...looking at the yellow marker lights Duh! I can see!
Also, those are unusual floor mats/cargo mat...were they stock? THey looked plastic in the pics.
Nice ride before AND after mods.

Oh, forgot to ask how you get to the fog light on the passenger side? I can't reach through from the bottom like I can on driver's side, unless you have to unbolt the protective coverings down below...?

Thanks Guys...
For the pass fog light I did have to remove the undercarriage stuff.. Was not that hard to do. Just remove a few screws and plastic clips and you can gain access to the light.
The clear mats that are on top of the carpet mats are from clearmats.com
I have had those on all my cars since 2000. All my past Lexus's had them from the dealer. In Houston we really only have to worry about the rain, so they do the job.
The ride is actually very similar to the Michelin 19's. I think the Yokohama's ride a bit smoother and quieter in fact. I was gearing for a wheel that had the 5-spoke stock look (18's), but just bigger. I looked at a ton of wheels and felt the TSW was the best bet. Simple yet nice looking. I didn't want any bling-bling wheels on my RX.

Took less than 10 minutes to change the DRL, Fog Lights, and Parking Light.

Welcome, Nate! Now I feel better - I'm also moving from a 2007 FJ Cruiser (bought on April 1, 2006, 10 days after release!) to an RX350. So glad to know I'm not the only one to make that swap.

Thanks Everyone..
Sandi, I was a member of the FJ forums.. Tex FJ was my name. FJ was a great and FUN vehicle and I will miss it alot! We will be starting a family next May and the FJ is really not the best of family cars :-) So we went with the RX.
Take Care

Thanks kitlz and encore888...
kitlz.. The ML system in the RX sounds much better then the stock RX system to begin with. The staging in the ML system is very good. I added the two JL subs that I had in my FJ, as the ML system had absolutely NO bass! The 10w6 is a great sounding sub. It compliments the ML system very well and has a great punch without sounding way too boomy. Nice tight bass. The Alpine amp also came from the FJ. Fits very well in the spare tire area. I would highly recommend this set up.
Let me know if you need any other help.

No, I don't play soccer!
Nate, thanks for the info. It sounds like it was pretty easy to install and maybe something for me to consider. I was never overly impressed with the Lexus stereo systems.
