If you try to change to the left lane or "squeeze" into the left lane in front of the RX350, then you may hit the RX350? I know, not very likely, but that is what I'm able to understand.
Ok, thanks for translation.

I always have fog lights on at night, so that's not a concern for me, but it got me curious. I will check tomorrow, at night. I kinda like the two-tone, two-side look of low beams and fog lights, makes RX look different.

Im actually on a trip in Asia right now, and I have noticed a lot of japanese cars have adopted using the xenon light on the inside portion of the car. New to the US but certainly not new to the car industry

Good point to bring up regarding the view for opposing traffic. I don't think it's that big of a deal but I always have my fogs on with the low beams so it's not really an issue that I am overly concerned about.

I would say that if you have a concern, leave the fogs on. If you don't, then use them whenever you want.

I also agree that driving in NY and North Jersey can be a challenge at times when it seems people are trying to thread a needle when passing, etc. but it's usually on the highway so I'm not as concerned about the opposing traffic at that point

Cheers!

Jay

Ahh yes, exactly, you got my point!

I was really directing this post not from our drivers seat point of view, but from the point of view of others drivers on the road who may be approaching an RX.

And basically exactly what you said, it opens up a bigger blind spot at night for cars on the right hand side because the RX headlamp is centered so far off to the left. A simple ambient light on the edge of the headlamp would fix this concern immediately... or fogs lights as was already pointed out in an earlier post (doh!!)

Could you provide some examples of what cars you saw there if you can recognize them? Thanks.

Just curious...

Ok, mystery solved. I turned off the fogs at night, and there are small orange deflectors on the turning signals below that are lit. More to the sides than to the front, so any driver that decides to change lanes at night and is completely blind and careless not to see the 50 feet spread of HIDs, should be able to see the tiny yellow squares on the side. Good enough for me. There are plenty of buttheads to worry about on the road as it is...

Unless that driver is blinded by the bright HID, then he wouldnt be able to see that tiny orange side marker.
