Headlamp Safety Concern Criticism
I think what DaRacerz is trying to say is that if you are driving on a two-lane street at night and say you are on the right lane and an RX350 is coming up behind you on the left lane, you may not realize the true width of the car due to the headlight configuration.
If you try to change to the left lane or "squeeze" into the left lane in front of the RX350, then you may hit the RX350? I know, not very likely, but that is what I'm able to understand.

I always have fog lights on at night, so that's not a concern for me, but it got me curious. I will check tomorrow, at night. I kinda like the two-tone, two-side look of low beams and fog lights, makes RX look different.
Im actually on a trip in Asia right now, and I have noticed a lot of japanese cars have adopted using the xenon light on the inside portion of the car. New to the US but certainly not new to the car industry
Good point to bring up regarding the view for opposing traffic. I don't think it's that big of a deal but I always have my fogs on with the low beams so it's not really an issue that I am overly concerned about.
I would say that if you have a concern, leave the fogs on. If you don't, then use them whenever you want.
I also agree that driving in NY and North Jersey can be a challenge at times when it seems people are trying to thread a needle when passing, etc. but it's usually on the highway so I'm not as concerned about the opposing traffic at that point
Cheers!

I was really directing this post not from our drivers seat point of view, but from the point of view of others drivers on the road who may be approaching an RX.
And basically exactly what you said, it opens up a bigger blind spot at night for cars on the right hand side because the RX headlamp is centered so far off to the left. A simple ambient light on the edge of the headlamp would fix this concern immediately... or fogs lights as was already pointed out in an earlier post (doh!!)
Just curious...
Ahh yes, exactly, you got my point!

Unless that driver is blinded by the bright HID, then he wouldnt be able to see that tiny orange side marker.
