Battery Replacement
Had to replace the Lexus-branded battery (built in February 2018) today in my wife's 2015 RX350 at 115,560 miles. The old battery had replaced the factory battery in February 2018 when the factory battery failed the Lexus dealership's test. That was a warranty replacement done about 8 months before we acquired the vehicle in late October 2018.
I used my AAA membership discount at NAPA and went with a Premium conventional wet-cell battery carrying a 3-year full replacement warranty. That's about the best you can do these days with battery prices skyrocketing and new battery longevity about half of what it was 20 years ago.

It saved me considerably more than $8. Regular current price is $220 and our sales taxes on that amount would have been an additional $16.50. So without my AAA discount I would have paid a total of $236.50.

Not that much more saved than $8 in regards to taxes. You still will pay the sales tax with the discount or not.
Plus, you got to factor in the price of membership for AAA which you barely ever use most likely over the years that could easily have paid for the battery if the money spend for the service was saved over the years.
How often do you ever really use AAA in regards to money paid to it? So was the AAA $8.60 discount really an worth while saving at all?
I just use my road side assistant feature that is part of my auto insurance which is only about $7 a car in my plan for towing, refueling and battery jump offs that I rarely ever used to be honest.

Next time price out the batteries as only three mfgs exist that produce all car batteries found on automotive store shelves. They market themselves primarily on CCA, warranty length, network, and replacement or proration,
Walmart and Costco come to mind as leaders, cant go wrong with either.
