Default grille swap?

I want to replace the grille of my new, to me, 2014 RX 350 because someone had tried to paint it unsuccessfully. They are all over ebay and I wondered if the F Sport grille would fit my base model. Anyone have info on this? BTW, just the top insert/grille (no lower grille, bumper, etc). I ran across a 2015 thread I'm digging into. Thanks

Found threads....I'm having some touch up painting done around the front bumper and hood so this is the perfect time to exchange just the main upper grille IF it can be done?

Haven't done it myself yet but direct fit replacement on the SportDesign model bumper and on the list of things to do this summer, unsure of base model fit. I need to remove front bumper cap anyway to replace weak LED foglights and to clean up any corrosion behind there.

I actually just ordered an F-Sport style grille.
In fact, there are two variants for the facelifted third-generation RX.

You can purchase a used grille from an original F-Sport version (it doesn't matter whether it comes with the chrome surround or without) and simply swap the inner grille insert into your bumper, using your own chrome surround.
Alternatively, you can purchase a new F-Sport style grille, which looks exactly the same but is sold without the chrome surround.

I chose option number two. And I also found the best deal in terms of price! (www.temu.com Item ID: 130G20VXQ)

On car-part.com, an original used grille costs upwards of $100, but some of the mounting tabs are broken.

I removed the fog lights, polished them, and covered them with protective film—just as I did with the headlights.
I installed Osram Fog Breaker bulbs. I really like the rich yellow color. However, I didn't remove the bumper.

Just received it. It looks cool. I like that it’s a dark color. It comes with instructions (though who needs them?) and extra mounting hardware.
When I install it, I might take some additional photos—someone might find them useful.

p.s. I don't know the exact number of days for delivery—I think it was about a week—but that wasn't important to me.

FWIW, Answer to my inital question - I found out from Treasure Coast Lexus that 3rd gen base and f sport grilles are NOT interchangable without doing the whole bumper. The base grille is $480. I'm returning the f sport ebay grille because it's all plastic. I'm getting some small nicks, dings, scratches body work done in a week so might get my existing upper grille painted gloss black. Anyone on the forum have any experience with a black upper grille? I can't quite picture it. If anybody has a blk grille on the base model please share pic. Either I'll go with that or just have it painted the original gray. Thanks

At Lexus dealerships, they check the part number for the grille assembly, including the chrome surround. Since the part numbers differ in this case, they claim it won't fit. However, if you remove the grille insert from the F Sport chrome surround and install it into the chrome surround designed for the standard bumper, it fits perfectly.

p.s. If you ordered a Chinese grille for the F-Sport that comes pre-assembled with chrome trim, it will not fit.

p.s.s.
Once more:
1. The OEM Lexus F-Sport grille will fit, but you need to use the chrome trim from your original, standard grille.
2. The Chinese "F-Sport style" grille (designed for the standard bumper—NOT the F-Sport bumper) will fit. I ordered one of these myself and have already received it, as I mentioned above.
3. The Chinese grille specifically for the F-Sport model (sold as a complete assembly, including the chrome trim) will not fit. (As far as I know—correct me if I'm wrong.)

I installed the grille. It wasn't difficult at all—just make sure you have a good set of Phillips screwdrivers on hand, as the small bolts holding the chrome trim had rusted (how they managed to rust while embedded in plastic is beyond me), and I actually broke a couple of screwdrivers while trying to unscrew them. The old grille had started to peel a bit, so I would have replaced it anyway; in the end, I managed to find an F-Sport style grille at a great price. I'm very pleased with it—I really like how it looks. I might take a few more photos later on.

I was able to get the grille swapped out - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...m_content=post
As long as the part and your vehicle were made in the same country, i.e., Canada the parts should fit. I had a shop do it because I didn't want to mess with removing the front bumper.
