Default 2015 lexus Rx350 code c1433 steering angle sensor.

Goodnight guys so i have this issue. I just did a engine replacement on a lexus rx350 fwd 2015. And im getting the SAS sensor error now. I tried hard reset again trough battery and redo procedure but its not doing anything. I called the dealer and they are quotin 280 just for the zero point calibration.

I have only a code reader not a scanner itself. Any cheap scanner that would be possible to do the calibration with? Thanks in advance

This problem was discussed in this older thread which was found by searching c1433 in the search box on the upper right of the main page. Hope it helps.

I would try an independent Toyota specialist before going to a dealer.

It seems you have done the mechanical side right.

I would suggest get hold of the electrical wiring to-from the sensor. Then make sure all connectors are connected properly. Be very careful if you end up using a VOM to ensure connections are correct as it might ignite the air bag.

Heyy. But why would anything electric would be bad if everything is connected righr. I didnt touch the steering columm. I just attached the bolt back on the bottom. Im gonna by an autel scanner for srs and abs reprograming with zero point calibration. Im just waiting on there end to see if its compatible with the lexus rx350. It seems to be that nobody has a diagram or even can refer a scanner that would do the job.
