Dashboard lights don’t go dim when headlights are on

I noticed sometimes my dashboard lights don’t go dim when I turn on headlights. Do you know why that can happen?

Hi spins06, I think we have a dimmer switch for the dash lights and when turned all the way CW it does what you are describing.
I'm not 100% sure on this so I'lll have to go out to the car and check for you later unless someone knows.

When headlights are off the switch works as expected. But when headlines are on sometimes dash lights are very bright when dimmer switch is on the very right position but before that click, when you turn dimmer more to pass that click the dash lights remain very bright. So sometimes when headlights are on I have to turn dimmer down a lot to adjust dash lights.
